| New rubidium frequency standard designed for telecom application
The rubidium frequency basic reference has been applied more and more in the field of telecommunication, especially in the mobile communication system since its frequency stability needs no regular calibrating. It is featuring of mini-size, low power waste, wide stability range and low cost, which is rather attractive in the telecom application.
FEŁ5680A Rb and FEŁ5652A Rb frequency basic reference products of FEI Company two new Rb frequency reference design devices, which have been treated with optimization. FEŁ5680A is a small volume device and its height is less than 1 inch. The temperature applicable range is -10ˇ«+60ˇć and the requency error is less than 1E-10 , while FEŁ5680A Rb 's frequency specification is 3.5ˇÁ5ˇÁ1 inch and its design is applied to the mainboard base pin slot of PC.
FEŁ5652A has a wide temperature range of -40ˇ«+85ˇć and its frequency error is 1E-10 .The temperature cooler is applied inside to ensure the absorption of Rb within the acceptable boundary temperature. FEŁ5652A Rb 's frequency specification is 4.7ˇÁ6ˇÁ3 inch. The large packaging has enough space to install thermoelectrical cooler and is capable of locking 1PPS reference sign provided by the receiver with GPS output frequency.
The two products above can ensure their frequency variation is less than 1E-10 within wide temperature range. FEŁ5680A can operation within -10ˇ«60ˇć , which is requred by telecom hardwares which are installed on the stand with limited air circulation. FEŁ5652A 's allowable temperature is -40ˇ«85ˇć , which is based on environment inside and outside, accession environment and telecom hardwares with low maintenance.
FEI pays more attention to the influence of temperature on design so that the products' average total frequency drifting is very small relative to temperature.
Besides, FEI has launched various products to meet the different demands, which have reached the atomic reference target of minisize, firmness and high performance and fit for the increasing precision requirements of telecom industry and frequency reference requirements with unmanned operation in poor environment. |
